NiSource Inc. is one of the nation's largest fully regulated utility companies, serving nearly 4 million natural gas and electric customers across six states: Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Operating primarily through its Gas Distribution Operations segment under the Columbia Gas brand, it provides natural gas service and transportation to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The Electric Operations segment, managed by NIPSCO, handles the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in northern Indiana to approximately 500,000 customers, supported by more than 3,000 megawatts of generation capacity from coal, natural gas, and renewable sources. NiSource Inc. focuses on the modernization and replacement of utility infrastructure, alongside system expansions and regulatory initiatives, to deliver reliable energy solutions.
