Aurubis AG is a world leader in copper recycling and a global supplier of non-ferrous metals. The company processes complex metal concentrates, scrap metals, organic and inorganic metal-bearing recycling materials, and industrial residues into metals of the highest purity. Aurubis produces over 1 million tons of copper cathodes annually with 99.99% purity, along with a diverse portfolio of copper products including wire rod, continuous cast shapes, profiles, and flat rolled products. Beyond copper, the company also produces precious metals such as gold, silver, lead, tin, zinc, selenium, and platinum group metals, as well as by-products like sulfuric acid and iron silicate. With production facilities across Europe and the United States, Aurubis serves industrial customers and metal exchanges worldwide through its extensive distribution network. Founded in 1866 and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, the company combines nearly 160 years of metallurgical expertise with state-of-the-art facilities and environmental standards to support emerging technologies including renewable energies, electric vehicles, and digitalization.
