1. Scope

This Cookies Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the OnlyDividends website at onlydividends.app(the "Website") and how you can control them.

This policy applies only to the Website. The OnlyDividends mobile application has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which describe how data is handled inside the mobile app.

3. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure audience, or enable third-party features such as chat widgets. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.

4. Cookies and similar technologies used on this Website

4.1 Analytics — DataFast (cookieless)

We use DataFast in cookieless mode to measure aggregate Website traffic (pages viewed, referrers, country, device type, custom goals such as App Store clicks). DataFast does not set cookies on your browser for visitor identification. Instead, visitors are represented by a server-side pseudonymous identifier derived from signals such as IP address, browser user-agent, and our domain, combined with a salt that rotates approximately every 24 hours. The same person browsing on different days is therefore not linked into a long-lived profile.

The data is used to understand which content is read and to improve the Website. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not pass personal data (such as your email address) to DataFast from the Website.

4.2 Live chat — Crisp

We use Crisp to provide a live chat widget on the Website so you can contact us with questions. When the chat widget loads, Crisp may set cookies and use local storage to manage your chat session, remember message history within a session, and prevent abuse. The chat widget loads automatically a few seconds after the page opens.

4.3 Strictly necessary storage

The Website may use first-party local storage to remember your selected language (en, fr, es) and similar interface preferences. This is required for the site to function and is not used for tracking.

4.4 What we do NOT use

  • No advertising cookies
  • No retargeting or remarketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • No cross-site behavioural tracking
  • No sale of personal data

5. Other data we collect through the Website

5.1 Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-term server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

5.2 Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how the Website performs in Google Search. Search Console reports aggregated data from Google's side (impressions, clicks, queries). It does not place a tracking cookie on your browser when you visit the Website.

6. Legal basis

Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for audience measurement, security, and abuse prevention. We minimise the data collected and do not use it for advertising or cross-site profiling.
  • Performance of a service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — for live chat conversations you initiate.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — for retention of records where required by French or EU law.

7. How to control cookies

You can control or block cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings: all major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Brave) allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help pages for instructions.
  • Block third-party cookies: enabling "Block third-party cookies" in your browser will disable Crisp's cookies on this Website without affecting site readability. (DataFast no longer sets cookies on your browser; see section 4.1.)
  • Crisp chat: if you prefer not to use the chat widget, simply do not interact with it; you can also block client.crisp.chat in your browser or content blocker.
  • DataFast: if you prefer not to be counted in our analytics at all, block the domain datafa.st in your browser or content blocker.

Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to read the Website's content.

8. Data retention

  • DataFast analytics: as per DataFast's retention policy.
  • Crisp chat transcripts: kept as long as needed to follow up on your question; can be deleted on request.
  • Server logs: short-term retention (up to 90 days) for security and debugging.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL — cnil.fr) or the authority of your EU country of residence.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove a third-party service. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
