Alcoa Corporation is a leading producer of aluminum and alumina, operating as a vertically integrated basic materials company. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and founded in 1886, the company focuses on the upstream segments of the aluminum value chain. Alcoa’s operations span bauxite mining, alumina refining, and aluminum smelting and casting, supplying key raw materials and primary metal to industrial customers worldwide. Through its Alumina segment, Alcoa mines bauxite and refines it into alumina, a critical intermediate used in aluminum production and various chemical applications. Its Aluminum segment covers smelting facilities and casthouses that produce primary aluminum and value-added cast products used in transportation, construction, packaging, electrical, and industrial markets.
