About Eni S.p.A.

Eni S.p.A. is an Italian multinational integrated energy company founded in 1953 as Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi, evolving from the earlier Agip agency to become one of Europe's largest oil firms by sales. Headquartered in Rome, it operates across the full energy value chain, encompassing exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, refining, petrochemicals, and the distribution of fuels through its iconic six-legged dog-branded service stations. Eni maintains a global footprint in over 70 countries, with key exploration rights in North Africa, West Africa, Latin America, Kazakhstan, and the North Sea, while importing natural gas via pipelines from North Africa and Russia. In parallel, it advances toward carbon neutrality by 2050 through investments in renewables like wind and solar, biofuels from agri-food waste, biorefineries in Venice and Gela, sustainable aviation fuels, electric vehicle charging networks via Plenitude, and carbon capture initiatives such as the Ravenna CCS project. Eni also engages in chemicals, power generation, e-mobility, and circular economy processes, employing around 32,000 people and emphasizing technological innovation with supercomputers and R&D collaborations. This dual focus on traditional hydrocarbons and decarbonized solutions positions Eni as a pivotal player bridging energy security with sustainability in global markets.
