Woodward Inc. designs, manufactures, and services control solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets worldwide. It operates through two primary segments: Aerospace and Industrial. The Aerospace segment provides systems and products for fuel, air, combustion, and motion control, including fuel pumps, metering units, actuators, air valves, specialty valves, fuel nozzles, and thrust reverser actuation systems for turbine engines and nacelles, as well as flight deck controls, servocontrols, motors, and sensors for aircraft. The Industrial segment offers systems for managing fuel, air, fluids, gases, electricity, motion, and combustion. Woodward Inc. serves original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and equipment packagers across these sectors, with production and assembly facilities in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. The company also engages in distribution agreements for consumable parts like fuel filters, gaskets, and seals for specific engines used in commercial airlines, and licensing for maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. Founded in 1870 and headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, Woodward Inc. plays a critical role in energy control and optimization solutions for aerospace and industrial applications.
