Xcel Energy is a regulated electric and natural gas utility company serving over 3.9 million electric customers and 2.2 million natural gas customers across eight states. The company operates three primary utility subsidiaries: Northern States Power serving Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan; Public Service Company of Colorado; and Southwestern Public Service Company operating in Texas and New Mexico. As one of the largest renewable energy suppliers in the United States, Xcel Energy generates more than half of its electricity sales from carbon-free energy sources. The company's business model centers on delivering reliable energy infrastructure and services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout its service territories.
